Prologue[]
Three cats huddled in a cave, whispering anxiously. "Splashbreeze, that cat brings death and despair!" A pure white tom hissed, flashing green eyes at a silver tabby she-cat.
The silver tabby retorted. "The cat has a destiny that will help the clan, too." Splashbreeze glanced at a black tom. "Nightshade, what do you think?"
Nightshade looked at Splashbreeze. "Blizzardclaw's right. She will bring death and despair. She will break the code."
Blizzardclaw looked triumphantly at Splashbreeze. "Wait, I'm not done." Nightshade mewed. "She has a gift that she could control. She has her own rights. She is supposed to be a gift."
Blizzardclaw opened his mouth furiously, but stopped. "We will spare the kit." Splashbreeze mewed. "It is decided." The group scattered, but Blizzardclaw stayed. No matter what they say, he will remove the cat from the clan.
